The Sheriff’s Office in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. recently introduced a new Attorney Portal to provide law firms with direct online access to real estate case information. The portal includes search and filtering tools, property details, advertising and deeding history, sale history, service history, and the ability to view or upload attachments in PDF format. It also features an electronic upload function for property descriptions and a sale costs worksheet.
Attorneys should remember that, as of January 3, 2025, all legal and short property descriptions for newly filed cases must be uploaded electronically through the portal within five business days of notice from the Sheriff’s Office. If the descriptions are not uploaded within that timeframe, the property will not proceed to sale. The Sheriff’s Office emphasized that the short description will be used for advertising purposes and the legal description will be used for deeding purposes.
