Catherine N. Aponte

Catherine N. Aponte is a Partner at Friedman Vartolo. She oversees the Creditor’s Rights practice for New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York in 2016, Catherine specializes in both residential and commercial foreclosures, wherein she handles both uncontested foreclosures, as well as foreclosure related litigation. She routinely handles title issues, including but not limited to quiet titles, subordinations, and reformations. Gaining admittance to practice in Pennsylvania in 2022 and Maryland in 2023. Catherine also has experience handling REOs, and working with alternatives to foreclosure, such as deed in lieus or mitigation workouts. Catherine has also published, “Tackling Oppressive Restrictive Covenants in Foreclosure,” Softening the Merger Doctrine Through Equity,” and “New Jersey Senate Assembly Bill 5001 Revises Statute of Limitations.
